Brief Description: The story of Badalini began in 1930, sparked by the ingenuity of Gerolamo Badalini, who at the time was both a farmer and a mechanic adept at repairing and utilizing agricultural machines. This marked the inception of a company legacy that now spans 95 years. A significant turning point occurred in 1949 when Franco Badalini, Gerolamo's youngest son, joined the company. Under his visionary leadership, Badalini commenced dedicated production of agricultural machinery. Working from a small workshop with a floor still made of tamped earth, he initially produced rudimentary yet exceptionally durable equipment. It was during these formative years that Franco Badalini established the company's enduring reputation as a "forerunner" in developing agricultural machinery specifically for organic weeding. His inventiveness led to the creation and patenting of a series of machines that would transform the agricultural sector, including the subsoiler and the tine cultivator, designs later adopted for production worldwide. The year 1960 heralded another landmark achievement: the development of a new type of machine that would change the history of agriculture—the multi-row rototiller, which was the only mechanical weeding machine available at the time. This revolutionary machine was entirely Franco’s creation, from organizing the workflow and arranging components to adapting the transmission system and even coining its name. In 1987, following the passing of his father, Giorgio Badalini, Franco’s son, took over the leadership of the business, continuing the family's commitment to innovation. As the new millennium began in 2000, Badalini embraced technological advancement with the digitalization of its business processes. A comprehensive five-year innovation plan was developed to grant the company a cutting-edge technical office, equipped with several models of three-dimensional virtual machines connected to sophisticated cutting systems. After the premature passing of Giorgio Badalini, Francesco Favagrossa and his family assumed the management of the business in 2018. Today, they continue to steer the company in the spirit of its founders, prioritizing the inherent quality and simplicity of their agricultural machinery, and upholding the brand's well-earned reputation for producing some of the most long-lasting equipment available on the market.
