Bombelli Srl's distinguished history began in Milan in 1889, marking a legacy that now spans 136 years. With its first factory established in Viale Monza, the industrial metalworking enterprise grew rapidly, employing 200 people by 1914, even before the First World War. Having become an official supplier to HM King Umberto I, Bombelli Srl received numerous certificates and commendations for its exemplary work. The intense activity carried out after 1920 brought the company into collaboration with some of the most important architects of that era, leading to involvement in landmark projects. Notably, in 1924, under the direction of architect Stacchini and engineer Fava, Bombelli constructed the main arch of the Central Station of Milan which, at 72 meters high and 321 meters long, remains the largest built in Italy to this day. Concurrently, all the canopies, shelters, and windows that still adorn the station were also built by the company. In the same year, Bombelli engineered the innovative "bellows" system for the closing doors of all airship hangars. Further iconic contributions include the Torre del Parco (or Torre Littoria) in Milan's Sempione Park, built with Giò Ponti in 1932 and one of the city's tallest structures at the time. Other significant projects followed, such as all Italian branches of the Bank of Italy, dozens of other historic buildings in Milan and Rome, the metal structure of the Termini Station in Rome, the gates of the Vatican, the first astronomical observatory of Monteporzio Catone and subsequent Italian observatories. During these years, the monumental gate of the Altare della Patria in Rome was also constructed, a marvel of its time with its 40-meter length and an innovative pulley movement system for ascent and descent, representing a vital technical and construction turning point.

From 1954 to 1970, Bombelli SpA played a significant role in the construction of many Milanese buildings that utilized the then-modern aluminium facade technique. The company's roots in snow clearing also extend deep into its history; as early as the 1890s, it produced iron hinges and chains for wooden, horse-drawn sleds used for this purpose. Between the First and Second World Wars, with the advent of automobile circulation, Bombelli built prototypes of the first snow plough blades and began their marketing. However, the substantial development of the winter road sector truly accelerated after the Second World War, driven by the construction of extensive road and motorway networks and the popularization of the automobile. A pivotal moment in the company's evolution occurred in 1968 when its two main branches were divided, separating the construction sector from the iron working sector, allowing for more specialized focus.

Over the last 40 years, with the continuous evolution of design and production technologies, Bombelli Srl's products in its specialized fields have reached the high-quality standards for which the company is known today. Bombelli Srl has firmly established itself on both Italian and foreign markets in the production of equipment for winter roads and road maintenance, and in the sector of special equipment for airport use. It particularly excels in the design and construction of machinery to customer specifications and in the processing of medium-heavy carpentry. Seriousness, reliability, experience, and credibility have been the unwavering keywords that have guided Bombelli throughout all these years, ensuring it always remains at the service of its customers in the best possible way. In recent years, Bombelli has become a European leader in airport cargo and baggage transport equipment and is a distinguished "name" in the winter road sector.
