Brief Description: CEMA is the European association that serves as the
collective voice of the agricultural machinery industry. The CEMA network,
which includes 11 national member associations, represents a broad spectrum
of the sector, from large multinational corporations to the numerous small
and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) active throughout Europe. Collectively, CEMA represents approximately 1,300
manufacturers who produce more than 450 different types of machines, covering
every agricultural activity from seeding to harvesting, as well as
specialized equipment for livestock management. This vital European industry
accounts for an annual turnover of about €40 billion (as of 2016, EU28) and
provides direct employment for 150,000 people. |
