Description: With a rich history spanning 61
years, Cofle was founded in 1964 by Bruno Barbieri, who introduced an
innovative method for manufacturing control cables for the automotive
industry. The company's first production line was dedicated to supplying
Original Equipment (OE) cables to Italy's most important automotive brands. During the 1970s, the company grew rapidly,
necessitating a move into a new, larger manufacturing plant. This expansion
allowed the range of automotive control cables, as well as systems for
agricultural and earth-moving machines, to be greatly extended, and Cofle
began to distribute its solutions on a global basis. A pivotal development
occurred in the 1980s with the creation of the first plant for the internal
production of cables, inner tubes, covered wire ropes, and cover conduits for
pull and push-pull cables. The start of this verticalization process was a
key step that would eventually allow Cofle to become a company with fully
in-house production capabilities. The 1990s were marked by significant achievements
for Cofle's Aftermarket division. Its increasing recognition within various
markets prompted the company to establish a new, modern logistic center with
a 4,000-square-meter warehouse. During this decade, Cofle also began its
international expansion by founding Tabo in Turkey, a facility dedicated to
producing aftermarket articles originally intended for Middle Eastern and
North African markets. Entering the new millennium, the company experienced
a great impulse in its external expansion. In quick succession, Cofle DCI and
Cofle TK were founded, both in Turkey, followed by the establishment of Cofle
China. During this period, the groundwork was also laid for Cofle do Brasil,
which would start its first production in 2016. Today, Cofle is a worldwide Group present in six
countries with six production sites, modern and efficient logistic centers, a
dedicated design and co-engineering project department, and a team of over
550 employees. The Aftermarket Catalogue features more than 7,000 solutions,
all created and developed based on extensive OEM know-how and in strict
conformity with OEM technical specifications. |
