Brief
Description: As one of Italy's most
representative professional agricultural organizations, the Confederazione
Produttori Agricoli (Copagri) is a general-vocation body with over 650,000
members. Born as a coordination of professional organizations in 1991 and
transformed into a confederation in 1995, Copagri has a widespread presence
with a national headquarters, 20 regional, and numerous provincial and
municipal offices. Our primary objective is to protect the economic,
professional, and social interests of all member agricultural companies,
self-employed workers, and individual and associated producers. We achieve
this by providing a comprehensive suite of services, including technical
assistance, agricultural dissemination, training, and support in fiscal,
social security, and administrative matters through our own agricultural
assistance center, CAA-CAF AGRI. Inspired by democratic trade unionism, we believe
the values of work, business, and the market must be balanced with fairness,
social justice, solidarity, and respect for health and the environment.
Accredited by national institutions at all levels, Copagri actively
participates in sector-specific policy discussions and is a signatory to
inter-professional agreements in Italy's most important production sectors.
The Confederation is currently led by President Tommaso Battista, who was
elected by the VI Congress of the Confederation. |
