Brief Description: The history of Demir Companies Group began in 1970
in the Pasinler district of Erzurum, Turkey, with the production of
agricultural tools and spare parts. This initial venture achieved great
success in a short time. Approximately two years later, the company expanded
its commercial activities within the same district, diversifying its trade to
include imported tractors, tractor spare parts, additional agricultural
tools, motor oils, and dealerships for Mutlu batteries and tires. A significant development occurred in 1982 when,
with the start of Massey Ferguson tractor assembly in Turkey, the company
began the sales of these tractors and their original spare parts. Further
diversification took place in 1985, when an Authorized Service and Authorized
Dealership agreement was signed for Renault automobiles, with sales and
service operations commencing in a newly constructed building in the center
of Erzurum. In 1995, the group ventured into the financial sector by
acquiring the AxaOyak Insurance Agency, leading to the establishment of the
Demir Insurance Brokerage Services company. In 2002, the first branch of Demir Trade Agriculture
and Machinery Industry Ltd. was opened at Yedpa Trade Center in Istanbul for
sales and marketing purposes. This was followed in 2003 by the commencement
of production activities in Istanbul, with new facilities starting service in
the Samandıra area. Building on its past experiences, the company, aiming to
produce high-quality spare parts, has also proven its considerable success in
this manufacturing endeavor. |
