Brief Description:     Drip Corporation (DIG) was founded in 1981 in Los Angeles, California, by Joyce Schiffer and David Levy. Their initial idea was to provide residential customers and local hardware stores with water conservation solutions through low-volume micro-irrigation products and systems. During its early years, the company, first as a privately held entity and later as DIG Corporation, expanded and relocated several times. A key innovation came in 1984 when DIG introduced the Sprinkler Thinker®, one of the earliest battery-operated irrigation controller technologies. As the company continued to grow, it expanded its operations and ultimately relocated to its current headquarters in Vista, California.     A significant strategic move occurred in early 2001 when DIG Corporation acquired Altec LEIT Ambient Light Controllers. This acquisition brought a cutting-edge, environmentally friendly irrigation management technology into the company's portfolio, offering solutions that required neither AC power nor batteries. The aim of this acquisition was to broaden the product range, enter new markets, and develop innovative products utilizing LEIT’s proprietary technology, which uniquely harnesses ambient light as its power source.     Following the acquisition, DIG launched the LEIT X product line in 2002 and subsequently introduced the LEIT XRC, a versatile ambient light controller supporting 4 to 28 stations and featuring remote-control capabilities. Further innovation continued with the 2007 unveiling of the LEIT-2ET, a patented, weather-based, smart wireless irrigation control system designed for two stations. Later, in 2014, DIG released the LEIT 1 and ECO 1, which are single-station, solar-powered controllers suitable for both residential and commercial applications.     By early 2019, DIG had further expanded its operations with a new distribution center in Vista, CA, and had upgraded its headquarters with a state-of-the-art extrusion and manufacturing facility for producing dripline, drip tubing, and fittings.     Today, DIG Corporation remains committed to developing innovative, efficient, and environmentally conscious irrigation solutions.
