The story of Europrogress begins with its founder,
Andrè Lejeune (born in 1932 in Fernelmont, Belgium), who brought extensive
agricultural management experience to Italy. After leading production for
MonJardin (later Conservitalia), where he helped manage 8,000 hectares of
crops with 200 employees, and later managing the seed company Magda in
Bolzano (which became Royal Sluis Italia), he leveraged his deep industry
knowledge to found two new companies in 1986. These were Ortoconsult Srl, a
consultancy for the food industry, and Europrogress Sr. For 39 years, Europrogress has specialized in the
greenhouse sector, initially focusing on the national distribution of
greenhouses and tunnels from Filclair. Over time, Andrè’s son, Jean Pierre,
took over the company, maintaining his father's energy and enthusiasm while
successfully expanding its market reach. A pivotal development occurred in 2011 through a
partnership with Medgroup in Vittoria (Ragusa). This collaboration
significantly strengthened Europrogress's production and logistics
capabilities, while also serving as a valuable testing ground for new greenhouse
models. The partnership improved supply chain oversight and enabled the
company to expand its commercial network in Southern Italy, leading to the
successful introduction of the Multimed and Easymed greenhouse models. |
