With a history that began in 1969, GEMELS S.p.A. embodies 56 years of excellence in its field. The company's journey started when Mr. Angelo Facchinetti founded his “Officina Meccanica” in the center of Trescore Balneario (Bergamo), Italy. In the 1990s, the company changed its name to GEMELS and produced its first GE2 model ball valve, marking a pivotal shift in its focus.

    The company's internationalization process began with its first shipment abroad in 1997. To support its growth, GEMELS bought two new buildings next to its original one in 2004, increasing its operational area to 10,000 m². From that moment, GEMELS began a strategic expansion into new markets, making its first investments in the Oil & Gas market in 2010 and obtaining the critical API 6D Certification two years later, which enabled the production of valves up to 42”.

    As the company became increasingly aware of health and safety themes, GEMELS obtained ISO 18001 and OHSAS 14001 Certifications in 2015. A new machine for the automatic assembly of GE valves was introduced in 2017, enhancing production efficiency. In 2018, GEMELS widened its product range by developing Quick Couplings. A significant corporate evolution occurred in 2020 when the company changed its business name from GEMELS S.r.l. to GEMELS S.p.A. and opened its first international branch, Gemels North America Inc., based in Dayton, USA, complete with offices and a warehouse to supply the entire American market.

    During the last few years, GEMELS has increasingly invested in the electric field with a dedicated division, has introduced hydraulic and electric rotary unions for the earthmoving and lifting market, enlarged its facilities by buying a new building, and obtained the DNV certification for the marine field.

    Today, GEMELS S.p.A. covers more than 12,500 m² of indoor and outdoor area. The excellence of GEMELS products is made possible due to the accurate selection of raw materials and the expertise of its dedicated staff and partners.
