The story of HE-VA began in 1977 when Villy
Christiansen, a machine operator and product engineer, along with his wife
Elly, acted on a strong desire to produce farm machinery. With deep roots in
the countryside, they founded the company in a 120 m² henhouse on their
private farm in Denmark. The name HE-VA was created to reflect the strong
family ties that were the foundation of the company, using the first letters
of the names of Heine (son), Elly, Villy, and Anders (son). The adventure quickly grew beyond the henhouse. In
1980, HE-VA moved to a 900 m² factory in the town of Nykøbing Mors. This
facility underwent several expansions over the following years, growing to
3,400 m² with around 30 employees. A pivotal moment in its growth came in
2001 when a new 12,000 m² factory and administration building was
established, which remains the company's headquarters today. The following
year, in 2002, HE-VA acquired the company Doublet-Record in Ørding, renaming
it HE-VA Doublet. This acquisition fulfilled a long-held wish for a broader
product range and truly ignited the company's international export journey. Today, with a history spanning 48 years, HE-VA has
developed into a major international company with 140 employees. An
impressive 90% of its farm machines are exported to countries across Europe
and as far away as China, Canada, and New Zealand. The company remains true
to its origins, with founders Villy and Elly Christiansen still active as CEO
and Secretary, respectively, alongside their son, Heine, who serves as
Technical Director. |
