With a rich history spanning 118 years, LINAK is
a family-owned company whose fundamental goal is to improve people's quality
of life. The company was originally founded in 1907 when Christian Jensen
opened a mechanical workshop. A pivotal moment came in 1976 when his
grandson, Bent Jensen, took over the company. Shortly after, upon inventing
the first electric linear actuator to help a friend's wheelchair, Bent saw
the immense potential for this sophisticated technology. In 1984, he changed the company name to LINAK, a
name derived from the Danish words for "Linear Actuator." This
marked the beginning of a new era focused on developing technology that now
spans a wide variety of sectors, from personal care and industry to
agriculture, offices, work environments, and even private homes. Today, LINAK is a global enterprise with
headquarters and its main production facility in Guderup, Denmark, and
additional manufacturing facilities in Slovakia, China, Thailand, and the
United States. In 2019, the company's turnover exceeded €560 million, a
success achieved through the commitment of 2,400 employees across 35
countries. LINAK's business continues to be based on a strong corporate
commitment—a promise not only to its customers around the world but to its
entire team, every day. |
