With an extraordinary history spanning 254 years,
the company now known as MAXWALD was founded in 1771 as a blacksmith shop and
is now proudly managed by the 11th generation of the founding family. As
early as 1950, the construction of special-purpose machinery had already
become an important business for the company, alongside the production and
sale of agricultural machinery, with numerous patents filed for innovations
like the "MAWA" track chains. A pivotal shift occurred in 1976 when the company
specialized in the production of cable winches with innovative disc brakes
and other advanced forestry equipment. This focus on quality and performance
has led to over 50,000 customers becoming proud owners of MAXWALD forestry
equipment. Today, from its base in Ohlsdorf, Upper Austria,
MAXWALD produces and sells a diverse range of "Made in Austria"
products for the whole world. The portfolio includes forestry cable winches
for a wide variety of carrier vehicles, logging tongs, small cable cars with
tilting masts, and recovery cable winches for firefighting vehicles, as well
as special designs of all kinds. The MAXWALD small cable car, in particular,
is now used worldwide, supporting sustainable forestry operations. The
company showcases its ongoing development and new product innovations at
approximately 10 trade fairs annually, in addition to participating in
numerous regional and international events through its dedicated dealers. |
