Brief Description:

The story of MENTA began in 1950 when businessman Pedro Leopoldo Menta and his brothers founded MENTA IRMÃOS, a small metalworking workshop in the city of Cajuru, São Paulo, Brazil. This marked the beginning of a 75-year legacy. Pedro, who remains the company's main designer to this day, started developing his first projects at the age of 10, repairing machinery and creating mechanical devices to improve operational performance in his father's small foundry. By the 1960s, MENTA IRMÃOS was focused on manufacturing agricultural machinery for cattle feed, launching its first dry feed grinders and green feed choppers that quickly conquered the market with their performance and robustness.

A new chapter began in the 1970s when ownership was transferred to Mr. Pedro Menta and his sons, and the corporate name was changed to MENTA MIT MAQUINAS AGRICOLAS LTDA. That same year, the company launched its renowned MENTA silage harvesters. In the 1980s, a best-selling product emerged: the CONFIMENTA 600 silage harvester with rubber track feeding, prized for its high production capacity. Responding to economic changes and the intensification of beef cattle farming in Brazil, MENTA MIT developed a new line of tractor-drawn forage harvesters using 100% Brazilian technology, which earned the company numerous awards.

The new millennium brought further innovation and recognition. In 2000, after more than four years of R&D, the COLHIMENTA 2000 was launched and received an Honorable Mention at the prestigious GERDAU - BEST ON EARTH AWARDS. This was followed in 2001 by the COLHIMENTA 3000, which was recognized as the best machine of the year, winning the "GOLD" OUTSTANDING TROPHY at the same awards. In 2003, MENTA once again led the way in technology by launching the PREMIUM DOBLO, the first and only forage harvester with a gearbox and cardan drive, which brought new levels of performance, economy, and reliability to the market. The success of this model led to the evolutionary PREMIUM FLEX, now recognized internationally as one of the most resistant, productive, and robust harvesters available.

This spirit of innovation continued with the launch of the high-capacity COLHIFLEX harvester in 2004 and the tractor-powered COLHIMENTA CM-20 in 2008 for harvesting sugarcane in billets for sugar and ethanol production. Today, MENTA is consistently focused on quality and technology, combining state-of-the-art equipment, advanced processes, and highly qualified professionals to produce the best machines on the market. The company employs approximately 100 people at its manufacturing plant in Cajuru-SP, with more than 60 indirect employees, serving both the national and international markets and exporting its products to more than 30 countries.
