Brief
Description: The story of FAR is a 79-year,
three-generation Italian saga that beautifully combines the heart of a
craftsman with the head of an entrepreneur. It all began in 1946, when
Battista Ribola, an expert fishing net maker, started his own workshop on the
shores of Lake Iseo. With the purchase of his first loom in 1950, his
reputation for quality began to spread throughout Italy. In 1979, the torch was passed to the second
generation. The founder's children took the reins, transforming the business
into "FAR" and guiding it through a new era of growth. They honored
the family's heritage while expanding the company's offerings to include
modern sports nets made from synthetic fibers, a move that launched their
first exports to the world. This new generation was driven by a spirit of
innovation, finding new paths for their traditional craft. In a pivotal
moment in 1985, Mario Ribola, a mountain enthusiast, followed his personal
passion to design and install the very first safety nets for ski slopes,
creating an entirely new and important market for the company. This creative
spark continued, leading them to diversify into nets and components for
playgrounds in 1994 and fall arrest safety nets for construction sites in
1995. Today, with the third generation of the family now
an integral part of the company, the story of FAR is one of a modern, ISO
9001 certified enterprise that has never lost its artisanal soul. It is a
story of a company recognized worldwide for excellence, where expert hands,
the finest materials, and a deep family passion are woven together to create
a product of unparalleled quality and tradition. |
