The story of Honey Bee Manufacturing is a narrative of ingenuity born from necessity, a journey that began in 1979 on a farm in Bracken, Saskatchewan. It started with two brothers, Greg and Glenn Honey, and their wives, who simply wanted equipment that worked better than what was available. When the market couldn't provide it, they built it themselves. From a massive 425HP tractor to a 67-foot self-propelled swather, they forged their own tools for their own land, laying the foundation for a company built strictly "by farmers, for farmers."

    At the very heart of their identity is the transition from a family farm to a manufacturing force. What began as a small operation selling a simple rod weeder attachment quickly evolved as neighbors noticed the quality of their work. The turning point was the Grain Belt Header. This piece of equipment became a staple on farms because it offered increased capacity and better feeding, but mostly because it was built with a rugged, simple design that only a farmer could appreciate.

    This is a story of organic growth. As the reputation of the Grain Belt platform spread, the farm in Bracken could no longer contain the demand. In the fall of 1987, the family made the strategic move to Frontier, Saskatchewan. This relocation provided the space needed to increase production capacity and expand the product line, transforming a local secret into a commercial contender.

    This is a story of evolving tradition. Today, Honey Bee operates out of over 100,000 square feet of production and warehousing space, serving customers around the world. They have taken the DNA of the original Grain Belt and evolved it into the modern AirFLEX platform. While the technology has advanced to meet the needs of today's producers, the philosophy remains the same: simple, robust designs that work in a wide variety of crops and conditions.
