Boom Trucks

A boom truck, also known as a hydraulic truck crane, is a type of vehicle that has a hydraulic crane mounted on a truck chassis. The crane has a telescoping boom that can be extended to reach over obstacles or to lift objects at a greater height.

Boom trucks can be either fixed-mount or articulating. Fixed-mount boom trucks have a crane that is permanently attached to the truck chassis. Articulating boom trucks have a crane that can be rotated and moved in different directions.

Boom trucks come in a variety of sizes, depending on the lifting capacity and reach required for the specific task. Smaller boom trucks can lift up to a few tons and have a reach of up to 50 feet. Larger boom trucks can lift up to hundreds of tons and have a reach of over 200 feet.

Boom trucks are an essential piece of equipment for many industries. They are versatile and can be used for a variety of tasks. They are also relatively safe to operate, as the operator is located in a cab that is away from the lifting area.
