Founded in 1959, the Italian Association of Agricultural Engineering (AIIA) has served for over 65 years as Italy's national body dedicated to advancing this vital field. AIIA maintains strong international connections as a member of the Commission Internationale du Génie Rural (CIGR), acting as its representative within Italy. It is also an active member of the European Society of Agricultural Engineers (EurAgEng), which is CIGR's European arm. Furthermore, AIIA contributes to the broader scientific community as part of the Italian Association of Agricultural Scientific Societies (AISSA), alongside other societies focused on agricultural, forestry, agroindustrial, and environmental disciplines.
