Brief Description: With a history that began in the early 1960s, the
company now known as DOLMEC originated when the young brothers Nicolò and
Michele Donato, after completing their apprenticeships, started their own
business producing ploughs for vineyards. Thanks to their meticulousness and
desire to do well, they very quickly became the reference point for local
growers in the Sicilian market. As the years passed, they began the
industrial production of trimmers, grape loaders, and post drivers for
vineyards, becoming pioneers of these machines in the region. A new chapter began in 1995 with the advent of the
second generation and the creation of a new company named DOLMEC, an acronym
for Donato Oleo Mechanic. This evolution marked an expansion of the company's
focus; in addition to manufacturing vineyard machines, the production now
included hydraulic components such as cylinders, hoses, hydraulic power
units, and a wide variety of fittings resold from a large warehouse. Important international recognition arrived in 2002
when DOLMEC exhibited its machines and steel posts for vineyards at the EIMA
International Exhibition for the first time, where it had a notable success.
Following this, the Dolmec brand crossed national boundaries, reaching
European countries as well as the American and Russian markets, where
Dolmec’s products are highly appreciated. Through continuous studies,
designing with modern Cad-Cam software, and conducting strict tests, Dolmec’s
machines have become ever more efficient, establishing the company as the
leading brand for the best contractors in every country, particularly with
innovations like the Gps Post Driver. Today, Dolmec srl is a highly qualified company
recognized at an international level. Day after day, it achieves new
objectives and enters new markets thanks to a team of highly specialized
people and dedicated technical departments for research and development. This
allows the company to create new machines in a very short time, never
forgetting to provide the best value for money. The current production
includes steel posts for vineyards, pre-pruners, trimmers, shoot removers,
ploughs, disc harrows, highly efficient pole drivers, and different types of
wire unrollers for vineyard trellising. With new machines currently in the
design phase, DOLMEC is committed to satisfying the most demanding customers
and continuing to lower working hours per hectare. |
